The Infrastructure Gap
Evergreen Resource Solutions was founded to address a systemic gap in reentry and workforce technology: tools designed for compliance and reporting, rather than real outcomes for people returning home from incarceration.
After nearly 12 years of incarceration, I returned home in 2024 with real work experience, technical skills, and leadership training gained through prison industries and institutional work programs. Yet when attempting to reenter the workforce, that experience did not translate into language employers understood.
"Canteen Operator" didn't convey that I served 100+ customers daily while maintaining inventory and customer satisfaction. "Maintenance crew" didn't show I maintained critical infrastructure. The system had given me real skills, but no way to communicate them.
This disconnect is not an individual failure it is an infrastructure failure.
Existing reentry systems rely heavily on manual processes, spreadsheets, and fragmented tools that place additional burden on case managers while limiting the ability of returning citizens to present themselves competitively in the labor market.
